Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine

Chinese Herbal medicine has been in use in China for over 5,000 years. Chinese herbs can be incredibly helpful in treating a very wide variety of conditions and may extend the effects of an acupuncture treatment. Chinese herbs are very safe to take as long as they’re prescribed by an experienced practitioner with adequate experience. In modern practice, there are over 450 different substances commonly used in herbal formulae; most of which are of plant origin.  The herbs we give are typically either in pill form or powdered to be dissolved in warm water. No endangered species or unethical products are ever used in our clinic, and we only give our patients products that are approved by the TGA.

Please note: Chinese Herbal Medicine is not offered as a stand alone consultation/treatment. It is only included as part of your acupuncture session when your practitioner deems it appropriate.
