Reduce Endometriosis: Where To Begin

Are you an Endo sufferer, and wondering where to begin to try to reduce your symptoms? Dr Bree has put together a starter kit to get you on the path to feeling better.

Endometriosis is associated with prolific forms of estrogen. When the body and liver is clogged with toxins it can hinder the proper elimination of excess estrogen, which can then begin to proliferate (grow) where it shouldn’t. Inflammation of this tissue also contributes to the pain associated with Endometriosis.

Where to begin:

DETOX THE LIVER

Help the body eliminate excess estrogen:

  • Consume more beetroot and leafy greens
  • Drink lemon water throughout the day
  • Reduce toxins, such as processed foods
  • Reduce alcohol consumption
  • Exercise in the morning

INCREASE CONSUMPTION OF POLYPHENOLS AND PHYTOESTROGENS

Reduce inflammation and proliferation of endometrial tissue by adding these foods into your diet:

  • Blue Berries, Blackberries and Blackcurrants
  • Grapes (inc. Raisins)
  • Cloves, Peppermint, Star Anise, Oregano, Sage, Rosemary, Thyme
  • Cocoa Powder
  • Chestnuts
  • Flax seeds
  • Artichoke
  • Red Onion, Shallots
  • Olives
  • Green, Black or Ginger tea

ACUPUNCTURE AND CHINESE HERBS

  • Acupuncture treatment increases circulation and releases endorphins to reduce pain and help the body eliminate excess estrogen
  • Herbal medicine can help to heal to body from the inside out
