How Our Services Can Support You

 Fertility & IVF Support

We deeply understand that the fertility journey can be emotionally and physically demanding, for both partners. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine can be a beautifully supportive treatment for those on their journey to parenthood – both for those navigating the journey naturally, and for those undergoing IVF or ART. There is continuing research exploring how acupuncture & TCM can assist with the effectiveness of these treatments. We work collaboratively alongside your fertility specialists & other healthcare providers to provide integrative, physiological support throughout your cycles.

Women’s Health & Hormonal Support

Traditional Chinese Medicine views the menstrual cycle as a vital indicator of overall systemic health. Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine may aid in the management of various women’s health presentations, including cycle regulation, pain and the relief of premenstrual symptoms. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine may be used as a supportive treatment for those with symptoms associated with PMOS, endometriosis/adenomyosis, and the perimenopausal transition, amongst others. We provide gentle, targeted support for women navigating the various hormonal transitions of their reproductive lives.

Pregnancy & Postpartum Wellbeing

Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine have been used in pregnancy care for millenia, and today they are an increasingly sought-after modality during pregnancy. Research has demonstrated that acupuncture can be effective in the relief of pregnancy-related back and pelvic pain (including sciatica), and it may also be helpful in managing the symptoms of nausea and morning sickness. Postpartum, we utilise Traditional Chinese Medicine principles to support maternal recovery, connection between mother and baby, and energy restoration to help you feel your best in motherhood.

General Wellbeing & Pain Support

Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine have a well-established clinical history for many different conditions, helping to mitigate the physical manifestations of stress, anxiety, chronic fatigue, gut dysfunction and endocrine dysfunction. It also has an extensive history in the treatment of pain. Whether you are dealing with chronic joint stiffness, nerve discomfort, or acute muscle tension, acupuncture aims to promote localised blood flow and ease the body back into a state of physical balance & comfort.

FAQs

Do I need a medical referral to see an acupuncturist?

No, a referral is not required to book an appointment with Dr. Grace. However, as an integrative clinic, we welcome referrals and are always happy to collaborate with your primary healthcare provider.

Does acupuncture hurt?

The needles used in our clinical practice are sterile, single-use, and incredibly fine – often compared to the thickness of a human hair. The insertion is typically painless or feels like a tiny, momentary tap. Our approach at Bloom Chinese Medicine is uniquely gentle, and patient comfort remains our highest priority. Many patients experience deep relaxation during their sessions.

What is your cancellation policy?

Due to the high demand for appointments, we ask for 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a fee equal to 50% of the appointment cost. Cancellations with less than 4 hours’ notice or non-attendances will incur a 100% fee.
